Google Reader On Desktop

Google reader, a google service that enables to share and read feed items, is now can be used on desktop without a need of web browser.
Unfortunately, Google reader gadget needs google desktop application just like other google gadgets. So, you need to install google desktop first, then google reader.
Google reader gadget is presented open source under apache 2.0 license. Runs smoothly under lastest linux versions and Windows systems.
