One of the most popular open-source media player, VLC, finally gets its full version. VLC 1.0.0 is out and ready for free download. Get it from VideoLAN site located here.

The best improvement I see is instant pausing. Older versions were a bit boring about that. And it is good to see supporting new HD codecs.
