When you think of photo sharing on the web, flickr and picasa etc. comes to mind firstly. However, fotopedia is a bit different from them. Its aim is to host images subject by subject. So, it can be visual wikipedia :)

Every user at fotopedia has 10 votes for one day. And when a picture gets 5 positive votes, it appears in fotopedia's directory.


In fotopedia, users can create pages and edit them, also can use software to upload images. The software is developed for Windows and Mac osx. You can download from here. In aaddition to this, photos can be added from picasa, flickr and facebook.

The pages at fotopedia are supported by wikipedia and google maps also.
