Some sites or forums want us to become their members to see the contents inside. For example watching +18 videos ( don't misunderstand :D ) on youtube, or read detailed on nytimes, voting films on imdb etc. And some sites are only interested of your e-mail adress. Their only purpose is to send spams to your adress.

There is a site to get rid of registering sites and spam mails. Bugmenot.com. Visitors come here and share memberships of the websites. With voting system, it is evaluated whether this information is true or not. There is even a firefox plugin :)
